Orientation Reset

I was happily flying in space toward a planet whilst lying on my bed, so my phone was oriented almost horizontally. Then I decided to sit up! Of course the ship started to tumble around on its nose until I oriented the phone similarly to how it was when I was lying down.

At the moment the only opportunities you get for changing your viewing position in the real world is when you're leaving the docking station and again when you emerge out of witchspace.

Would it be possible to have a "reorientation panic button"?

Accelerometer is always recalibrated on resume after pause.
For that you can tap on Alite logo during the flight on the bottom of the screen or switch the app.
Orientation is always landscape and can be locked to right or left in Options > Display options > Lock orientation.

I wondered if there was something I had been missing. Thanks for the heads up.
